Questions
The six things people ask before their first session
What actually happens in a sound bath?
Singing bowls and gongs produce steady, overlapping frequencies. Your nervous system tracks them — a well-documented effect called entrainment — and heart rate, breathing and muscle tension tend to follow the rhythm downward. Brain imaging of people in sound baths shows quieter activity in the default mode network, the loop that re-runs yesterday's standup at 2am. You don't have to do anything for it to happen. That's the whole trick.
Do I have to meditate first?
No. There's no technique to learn, nothing to hold onto, and no streak to keep. The sound carries the session — your nervous system follows it down on its own — so there's no way to do it wrong. Lie down, keep your shoes on if you like, and let the sound do the work.
What's the difference between the $49 and $99 plans?
The $49/month Lunchbreak plan covers every Tuesday and Friday session — three 30-minute resets on each of those days — sized to fit a calendar that already has meetings in it. The $99/month Sunday Scaries plan adds the full 60-minute Sunday evening session on top, so the week ends with a proper decompression instead of a slow dread spiral toward Monday.
How many sessions can I join?
As many as you like. Both plans are unlimited — while your membership is active, every session it covers is open to you, so every Tuesday and Friday lunchbreak, plus the Sunday hour on the Sunday Scaries plan. No session credits, no monthly cap, no penalty for taking everything on the calendar.
Can I try a single session before subscribing?
Yes — any session is $10 as a drop-in, and the pass stays live for 24 hours, so a Tuesday-noon test run still covers that evening. Nothing is recorded, so there's no library to fall behind on and no replay guilt: you either make the session or you don't.
How do I cancel?
Month to month, no contract. Sign in and hit Manage membership — that opens the billing portal where you can cancel or swap cards in about ten seconds. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for, and there's no retention email sequence waiting on the other side.
